A Taste of Pure Luxury Coming to Hull

Dove House Hospice, in conjunction with the Love You 2 Appeal and Venice Simplon- Orient-Express are delighted to welcome the celebrated Northern Belle to Hull for the very first time in 2011 for a special fundraising excursion on Friday 2nd September.
The hospice has organised a day of refinement and glamour for passengers as they embark on a day trip to the beautiful city of Edinburgh complete with luxury brunch on the outward journey and an opulent gala dinner on the return.
This will be the first ever time the train has visited Hull and organisers are urging those interested in joining them on the trip to book their places quickly as interest has been high.
This truly is a once in a lifetime experience and as a local charity we are delighted to have been able to bring this experience to Hull and use it to help raise money for the hospice. The journey will be onboard the Northern Belle which entered service in 2000 as a sister to the highly successful British Pullman train of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. This presents a wonderful opportunity for everyone, whether celebrating a special occasion or just getting together with family and friends
Ever since George Mortimer Pullman's first luxury train was conceived in 1864, people have been captivated by the elegance and sense of occasion that surrounds such decadent travel. The Northern Belle combines classic craftsmanship and contemporary engineering and is a reflection of the affluent 'Belle' trains of the 1930's and each of the six dining carriages is named after a great British castle or stately home.
The train will leave Hull at 8:30am and guests will enjoy a sparkling Bellini and three course brunch on the outward journey to Scotland. Arrive in Edinburgh at 12:30pm for an afternoon of sightseeing and leisure time to enjoy the city. At 6pm the train will leave Edinburgh and guests will enjoy a champagne reception, canapés and four course gala dinner with a bottle of wine per couple before returning to Hull at around 10pm.
Tickets are £295 per person and can be reserved by calling the Hospice on 01482 785743 or emailing
