Thursday 2nd July – Sally Taylor – The Fisherman’s Mission. In the Skidby Village Hall.

British Sugarcraft Guild – Hull and Holderness branch.
Saturday 4th July, 2.00 p.m. (doors open 1.45). in Skidby Village Hall.   A demonstration by Judith Lynn on making Fabric Effect Flowers.   All welcome, visitors £7.50. 

Cottingham U3A
Thursday July 9th – ‘When the railway reached Beverley’. This talk from Colin Bradshaw describes how Beverley changed after 1845 when the first steam trains operated from Hull, via Beverley to Bridlington. Coaching inns declined, new buildings emerged, people travelled much further and more easily. It is not a technical talk about railways.  The meeting is held at 2pm in the Darby and Joan hall, with new members welcome.

Quiz Night – St. Michael’s Church, Skidby.
Friday 10th July at 7.30 p.m –  In Skidby Village Hall. Join us for a night of quizzes and puzzles.  Tickets £5 per person including tea/coffee/biscuits and nibbles.  Bring your own drinks.  Raffle.  Teams of four but for those not in a team, no problem, we’ll create teams on the night.    Tickets from Jeanette on

Strawberry Tea at Skidby Village Hall – A Perfect Summer Treat

Hull Stamp and Postcard Club
Wednesday 15th July AGM and members afternoon. There are no meetings during August. Meeting begin again on Wednesday 2nd September ‘Members Present Items of Interest’. Macular society Hull Group
Friday 17th July  is our next meeting  10.30 am until 12.15 pm at Sight Support Beverley Road Hull. The guest speaker is Nikki Kirk from Lifeline giving information on how Lifeline can be useful. East Yorkshire Woodturners
Tuesday 21st July – 7pm, Skidby Village Hall. (Doors open 6.30pm). Woodturning demonstration by Andy James, Andy joins us for the second time. He has been woodturning for more than 25 years.  He regularly demonstrates at clubs and other events throughout the UK. The club meets on the third Tuesday evening each month. Cottingham Bowling Club

Arterian Singers

Cottingham Cricket Club
We run three Saturday sides, a Sunday side and junior teams from U9 to U15. Cottingham Cricket Club Junior training continues all through winter. Starting at 7pm every Friday night at South Hensley School sports hall. We welcome new members at any level. HULL OPTIMISTS  Swimming Therapy Group
Come and join a friendly group of Adults and Children at Frederick Holmes School, Inglemire Lane Hull, in a warm Hydrotherapy Pool.  The club is for persons with disabilities or have a fear of water, and are taught in a friendly and positive way how to overcome that fear and be safe in water and also  help with their mobility. We meet in term time every Monday evenings. There are two sessions, the first between 6pm and 7pm for Children and their Carers, and the second for Adults between 7pm and 8pm.  All are welcome.
