Tickets are now on sale for East Riding Libraries’ festival for children and young people, Live ‘n Loud in Libraries.

The festival runs from Monday 22 July until Saturday 31 August and includes a varied and exciting programme – featuring live music, forensics, activities, author visits and much more.

Events include:

  • Live ‘n Loud at Flemingate, a free music festival for young people aged 11 – 17, held at Flemingate in Beverley on Friday 16 August.
  • Think Forensic – CSI: Library workshops featuring realistic crime scene investigation including taking fingerprints, casting foot marks and matching fibres.
  • Boomchikkaboom’s Fun Family Rave for younger children, including singing, dancing, bubbles, parachute fun and more at East Riding library branches.
  • Author visits – including Sam Sedgeman, LD Lapinski, Andy Sanders, and James Nicol, who will talk about their newest book releases and sign copies of their books in the libraries.

Funded through Arts Council England, Live ‘n Loud aims to widen the opportunity for East Riding residents to benefit from local arts and culture opportunities.

Most of the events are free or are subsidised to include everyone and encourage new audiences to experience the arts.
