Riverside Brass Band Concert – Skirlaugh Church

Calling all Brass Band lovers!! St Augustine’s Church, Skirlaugh are hosting a
Brass Band Concert this coming Friday 13 th June with music by Riverside
Brass Band.

They will be playing an eclectic collection of music ranging from
Stardust, I’ve got rhythm and the Battle of Jericho to Scottish dances, Bring
Him Home and Battle hymn of the Republic, to name just a few.
Riverside Band was formed ten years ago and usually consist of 10 brass
players plus percussion and they possess a wealth of experience playing in
leading orchestras and brass bands including The Halle, Opera North and
Northern Ballet Orchestras and Brighouse, Hammonds, City of Hull (EYMS)
brass bands. Also some of the members of the ensemble are instrumental
music teachers and music examiners. So, it should be a really good evening!
